This policy outlines RFI’s information gathering and dissemination practices for this website – –, our Summit website,, and our communications generally. This privacy notice sets out how we will use the information you give us. This notice applies to anyone providing us with personal information in order to sign up to email updates, including our newsletter. We will update this notice from time to time and we will post updates (with immediate effect) to our website. If the changes are significant, we will also email you about them.

Personal information

RFI does not collect personal information, except where it is volunteered. If you provide unique identifying information, such as your name, address and other information on forms stored on this site, such information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties, except with your explicit permission. RFI will maintain the information we collect in MailChimp. Although we assumes no responsibility for the security of this information, we will password protect access to the data and limit access to only those people involved in sending newsletters and mailings.

Electronic communications

All primary and secondary contacts will receive the following membership-related communications in electronic format (unless it is requested in paper format in writing) from RFI, unless they opt out (a link to opt-out will be included with every communication we send):

  • Regular newsletters containing updates relevant to the RFI, including our events and other responsible finance events that we think will be of interest to you

  • Membership benefits (e.g. offers to sponsor RFI reports/events, invitations to RFI Events and other membership-related benefits)

  • Members can update their communication preferences or opt out at any time by sending an email to info [at] rfi-foundation [dot] org with a request to “unsubscribe” in the subject or body of the communication.

Those who are not primary or secondary contacts will receive communications solely on the basis of consent, and every communication we send will include a link to revoke consent. You can email info [at] rfi-foundation [dot] org if you would like to receive a copy of the personal information we have collected or to add, correct or request that we delete your personal information.

Log files

Like most standard web servers, this website uses log files. These files contain information such as internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information, and is used for aggregated statistical analysis of web site traffic only. We will share this non-personally identifiable information with Google Analytics to create the aggregated statistical analysis of web site traffic only.
